Crispy Okra (Bhindi)

Crispy Okra is traditionally a hyderabadi recipe, really simple to make, it takes little time but so worth it.I tried this recipe long time ago, and just loved it  and after lot of tweaking got it right. For all those who are not big okra (bhindi) fan like me will just love the tangi flavor.  So this one is for all my freinds who requested that I post it with pics of each step, here you go 🙂

  • Okra 1lbs
  • Yougurt – 3 tbs
  • Tumeric – 1tsp
  • Salt – 1 ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1tsp
  • Garam masala – 1tsp
  • Cumin Powder- 2tsp
  • Coriander Powder 2tsp
  • Amchur – 2tsp
  • Oil for cooking

Cooking Directions

First cut the Okra lenghtwise in four parts

and then mix all the spices and yogurt keep aside for 30- 45 mins.

Take a flat pan and pour 2 tbs oil and when the pan is ready take okra and spread it evenly, let it simmer and keep turning it every few mins.  Do not crowd the pan, repeat the process in 2-3 batches.

Serve it hot with rice/ chappati/ just snack on it .
