Chocolate Pretzels Sticks
Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels are easy to make, and the combination of sweet chocolate and salty, crunchy pretzels is fantastic. They are so adaptable for any special event and great for all ages. You could use any pretzels you want, dip them in crushed candy bars,white or dark chocolate, sprinkles or nuts. I have used pretzels rods, dark chocolate and white chocolate for my recipe. If after melting your chocolate does not reach the consistency for dipping just add a tablespoon of shortening or oil.

Ingredients
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 pack pretzels rods
- 1 tablespoon shortening or oil use if required
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips optional
Instructions
- Combine the chocolate chips and the shortening in a large microwave-safe bowl, and microwave until the chocolate is melted, stirring after every 20-30 seconds. (Be careful, if chocolate is overheated it becomes hard.)
- melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the pretzels for a decorative look. Briefly return the candy to the refrigerator to set the white chocolate before serving.
- Place the pretzels in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate
- Put the pretzels in bags after they have dried and twist the ties.
