Rich fruit Cake

It was my husbands birthday and he does not like creamy cake’s that much, so when I came across this cake recipe, I knew it would be just perfect. My fruit cake recipe is does not have any sugar and butter, if like me u cake out the frosting.  Fruitcake  is a cake made with chopped  dried fruits (you could also add nuts). Everyone who likes fruitcake will love this recipe. Traditional fruit cake recipe calls for alcohol, I have substituted with orange juice.

  1. Wow, that’s one fruit packed cake! Looks chewy and thick 🙂 Nicely done!

  2. This is the most unusual cake recipe I have seen. I like the fact that it is packed with fruit! Also, the lack of butter and sugar really does let all that goodness of the fruit shine through. I am sure the fruit more than makes up for not having those two ingredients. I am sure your husband enjoyed this and happy birthday to him!

  3. I guess I am awfully sure about a lot of things since I made such reference to it in the previous comment-ha!
