Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat non-stick griddle or non-stick skillet to medium heat.
- In large bowl, whisk buttermilk and egg together until well mixed. Gently stir in dry ingredients(whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and sugar) until combined. Batter will be thick!
- Lightly grease hot griddle with butter. Pour batter onto hot surface, spreading into a thin circle. Cook until bottom has browned and bubbles start appearing on top of the surface (1-2 minutes). Flip and cook 30 more seconds. Remove and serve immediately OR store in a warm oven.
Tried this morning and loved it, perfect Sunday morning breakfast and healthy too, we had with maple syrup
