Mung Dal chilla (lentil Spinach crepe)

Mung dal chilla (spinach lentil crepe) make a perfect brunch recipe, especially on a Sunday morning. It is a healthy, nutritious and packed with fiber and protein.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Yellow mung dal  (soaked)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup of chopped Spinach (optional)
  • 1Tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1-2 small green chillies, chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped fine
  • oil for frying

Cooking Directions

Soak the mung dal (lentil) for 25- 30 minutes, in warm water. In blender put mung, spinach, ginger cilantro and salt, grind it to a smooth paste.

 

Add chopped onions and green chillies mix it together.

Heat pan brush it with oil and pour the chilla (crepe) mixture and spread it evenly and cover the pan for 2-3 minutes. When one side starts turning brown, cook the other side.

Serve it hot with pickle and green chutney.
